I am currently in my fourth year as a PhD student in the Biology Department at Duke University. My scientific pursuit is centered around two major aims:

  1. I want to contribute to our understanding of how micro-scale changes in genes can lead to macroevolutionary changes between species over time &
  2. as I continue my own scientific training, I wish to create easily accessible avenues to share STEM with everyone, regardless of educational, financial, or other barriers.

Growing up in Ohio and living in California, Michigan, and now North Carolina helped shape who I am and why I value not only creating new scholarship but also disseminating science.
